This month I asked Brenda Jacksteit a few questions.

 

Tell us a bit about yourself:

I am married and have 2 grown boys that both go to the University of Regina. When my husband and I have spare time we love being hockey parents, going to movies, taking walks around Wascana and spending time with family and friends. We also like travelling whenever possible and enjoy when the boys decide to join us too!

What keeps you busy everyday:

I am a Realtor® in Regina as well as surrounding areas. I love meeting new people and helping friends/clients with buying or selling their home. I’m grateful for the fantastic people I work with as well as the joy I get from helping them find their dream home! It’s a very rewarding career that I thoroughly enjoy!

Can you think of one thing that you wish you had learned as a younger person?

The earlier you start investing the faster your money will accumulate. We started pretty young but it is something every young person should take seriously. Don’t wait, make it your priority to do.

What is the best money advice you’ve ever received?

“Pay yourself first!” If you set aside an amount on a regular basis from every paycheque you will be amazed how that can accumulate when you don’t even “miss it”. You can only afford what you set your mind to.

Share with us something that was totally worth splurging money on.

Any money spent on travelling is worth the experience and lifetime memories! Everyone takes something different away from each and every experience. There are many great places to visit in this world, I want to see as much as I can and check those destinations off of my Bucket List.
